Now Air Television is joining the larger than life family firm in the cab on an extraordinary road-trip as they recover cars that have been forgotten for decades.
Britain's most eccentric garage, perched on the edge of the North York Moors, has become a motoring Mecca for enthusiasts who miss the days of driving gloves, starting handles and shooting brakes. Its mission: to find some of the UK's most venerable vehicles and unite them with new owners at the family run auction.
The Mathewsons - dad Derek, sons Dave and Paul and grandson Harry are motoring matchmakers, removing classic cars from often reluctant owners no longer able to drive or keep them - and finding them buyers who appreciate their antique charm.
